Fuzhou UniversityDepartment of Microelectronicsbegan enrollment in 1970, and trained the first group of microelectronics professionalsfor the Fujian Province. Department of Microelectronicsbegan to enrollstudents nationwide in 1972, and change the enrollment direction to Microelectronics (Device), Electronic Science and Technology, according to the Ministry of Education categories of enrollment since 1999.To promote the development of China's integrated circuit (IC) industry, accelerate the training of professional and technical personnel of integrated circuits in Fujian Province, promote the docking of IC industry between Fujian and Taiwan and provide strong talent support for innovation and economic construction in the west side of the Straits,Fuzhou University resume microelectronics undergraduate professionsince 2005, start microelectronics professional excellence engineer training since 2009, and set up National Integrated Circuit Personnel Training Baserelying on Fujian Integrated Circuit Design Center, and Fujian Microelectronics Key Laboratory, which is one of the only 20 National ICPersonnel Training Bases and include teaching, research and industrial functions. The department was supported by the six national ministries to prepare the construction of Demonstration Microelectronics Institute in June 2015, becoming one of the only 26 Demonstration Microelectronics Institute. Department of Microelectronics changed its name to Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineering since 2013, and will add a new profession of Integrated Circuit Design and Integration System in 2017.Microelectronics Science and Engineering majors the direction of integrated circuit manufacturing and testing, and Integrated Circuit Design and Integration System majors the direction of integrated circuit design and packaging. Two professions cover the entire industrial chain of integrated circuits in all aspects. Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineering has become an important base for microelectronics personnel training. It is a key discipline that is supported and developedstronglyby Fujianand Fuzhou.Departmentof Microelectronics Science and Engineering has a complete personnel training system, and recruit a large number of outstanding students to come to school, display their talent, and explore the new progress in microelectronicseach year.Undergraduate education has professions ofMicroelectronics Science and Engineering, and Integrated Circuit Design and Integration System, and graduate education has professions of Microelectronics and Solid Electronics, and Circuit and System.

Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineering recruitedtalented person for the world, and a large number of excellent scholars who are interested in the development of China's microelectronics industry gathered here,and formed a teaching teamthat can cover the whole industrial chain of integrated circuits. The department sent two young teachers to Belgium for IMEC training each year, and selected teachers to study at domestic and abroad well-known universities to make young researchersgrow rapidlyin recent years.At present, young teachers with a doctoral degree have become the mainstream. They undertake the task of teaching and research, and guarantee the continuous development of Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineering.

Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineering has advanced facilitiesfor talent training and scientific research.The EDA platform is equipped with the world's most advanced software and hardware devices. Hardware device is equipped with SUN's high-end servers and workstations, mass storage arrays, tape libraries and the corresponding host and network security products to ensure data security. The software system is the world's leading EDA design software, including Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics and Magma Design Automation.The Department also established a test lab for SOC chip testing.

Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineering has carried out a wide range of international and domestic cooperation and technical exchanges, and employed a number of internationally renowned scholars as part-time professors or visiting professors to ensure that our teaching and research work can be synchronized with the world advanced level.Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineeringhas also established close contact and cooperation with domestic and foreign industry, established joint laboratorieswith some world-renowned companies such as Cadence, Synopsys, and cooperated with companies to research projects for transforming scientific and technological achievements into productive forces in time.
